Play Jazz Now offers a free set of jazz play-along tracks. Play-along tracks are pre-recorded accompaniments for jazz musicians. Each track leaves musical space for the user to "fill in" or play-along. PlayJazzNow.com has tracks for all instrumentalists and singers. Their play-along tracks are great for helping students master the fundamentals of jazz improvisation - and they get to play with a world class professional rhythm section.

The MusicLink Foundation is part of NAMM's Support Music Coalition.

Travelers Foundation provided a grant for $6,500 for instruments and materials for an after school keyboard MusicLink project linking Walker West Music Academy with Maxfield Elementary School in St. Paul.

 

The Verdine White Foundation, created by the bass guitarist of Earth, Wind & Fire and his wife, Mashelle is working closely to support the MusicLink Foundation mission to bring ongoing musical training to underprivileged youth across the country.

 

Warner Brothers sends a complimentary "thank you" packet of piano method books and supplementary materials to every new MusicLink teacher.

 

The Metropolitan DC MusicLink urban program has received a grant for $35,000 from the Webber Family Foundation to support efforts to expand the program to more inner-city sites and continue suburban growth. The inner-city program has reached over 100 students thus-far with plans to double enrollment next year by adding several partnerships with charter schools and youth mentorship organizations. The Weissberg Foundation awarded a grant of $3000 to support MusicLink's Washington DC program at the Atlas Performing Arts Center.

 

WholeMusicLessons.com provides materials for incorporating pop/jazz into the traditional piano lesson curriculum in an integrated way, and offers 30% off the full membership price for MusicLink teachers. The Louise P. Zanar Fund of the Community Foundation for the National Capital Regions provides ongoing funding for the DC. Metropolitan area MusicLink program, including its "Shining Stars" program that provides private lessons for underprivileged children.
