VIDEO: Playathon Montage

MusicLink Playathons are a way to bring music to the community, provide a wonderful performance
opportunity for any student taking music lessons, all while raising funds to bring music lessons
to children in need. Students collect donations from friends and family and receive token rewards
from MusicLink as thanks. In return, these students enjoy performing in public to bring music to
the community.
Minnesota MusicLink, along with the Minnesota Music Teachers Association, has brought playathon
performances to the Mall of America for the past 12 years, raising more than $10,000 each year for
the MusicLink Foundation.

This year, the Minnesota MusicLink Playathon was cancelled because of the Covid pandemic. It seems
fitting to bring past playathon performances to you through this Video Spotlight to let you see what
an enjoyable event a playathon can be. Sit back and enjoy the array of performances - all ages and
instruments and voices! Our thanks to Sue Wege, MusicLink National Director of Coordinators, for
putting this video together as well as organizing all of these Minnesota Playathons over the years.
